چکیده
SMA is a gap graded mix composed of high concentration coarse aggregate that held together in thick asphalt film by matrix mineral filler and stabilizers. Since natural aggregates have become expensive, hence Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) can be reused pavement construction to reduce the environmental hazardous due disposal problems. RAP contains used aggregates, it highly prone fatigue, thermal reflective cracking effect. Rheological chemical properties aged bitumen enhanced use untreated waste oils such as engine oil rejuvenators. This research presents study on fatigue performance with materials without rejuvenators results were compared conventional mix. The first characterized common laboratory tests. Then three mixes are tested using several test procedures: Marshall Stability, indirect tensile strength, moisture susceptibility, tension test. optimum proportions highest stability selected from strength show replaced showed higher ratio resistance damage when replacement was conducted for at different temperature stresses. lower stresses, rejuvenator offered better than those At temperatures, similar lifecycle However, lifecycle. Increase failure stresses resulted decrease number cycles increased initial strain Thus, substantial cost achieved compromising characteristic

An overview of crumb rubber modified asphalt
Roadways are considered one of the most important elements of infrastructure and they play an essential role in our daily lives. In road pavement construction, the use of crumb rubber in the modification of bitumen binder is considered as a smart solution for sustainable development by reusing waste materials. It is believed that crumb rubber modifier (CRM) could be one of the alternative polym...

متن کاملStone Mastic Asphalt Pavement Technology for the New Millennium
Since the 1960s, Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) pavement surfaces have been used successfully in Germany on heavily trafficked roads. Because of its excellent performance characteristics, road authorities in Germany as well as major European Countries quickly adopted SMA as a standard wearing course. As a consequence of an asphalt study tour in Europe of an American delegation in 1990, SMA test sec...
